Renewal by Andersen® of San Francisco only provides the best replacement windows on the market, so it only follows that they come with warranty coverage to match. In this blog, we answer frequently asked questions about our Transferable Limited Warranty.
QUESTION: What Are the Parts of the Window That’s Covered by Your Warranty?
Renewal by Andersen replacement windows feature the Transferable Limited Warranty that covers the following:
20-Year coverage on the glass packages, including High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass, High-Performance Low-E4 SmartSun™ glass, High-Performance Low-E4 Sun glass, glass packages with HeatLock® technology and others.
20-year coverage on Fibrex® material components, including frames, sashes, and exterior grilles, plus a 10-year coverage on the exterior color finish.
10-year coverage on non-glass and non-Fibrex material components, including most hardware, insect screens and weatherstripping.
QUESTION: Does Your Warranty Cover Installation or Workmanship?
It does. In fact, our replacement windows come with a five-year limited warranty installation – that’s three years more than what most other replacement window companies offer. We take our workmanship seriously, which is why every Renewal by Andersen installer has undergone strict training before they can install their first window. In the event your windows develop problems from installation errors, you can rest easy knowing we have you covered.
QUESTION: What Do You Mean By “Limited Warranty”?
We take full responsibility for the quality of our replacement windows and our installation work; however, there are circumstances that we cannot control and can’t cover. In addition to circumstances that are generally defined as “Acts of God”, a limited warranty cannot cover unauthorized modifications to the windows as well as neglect. The terms and conditions include a full list of conditions that are not covered by our limited warranty coverage.
QUESTION: How Do I Make a Warranty Claim?
Simply set up an appointment by calling us or filling out our contact form. One of our representatives will inspect the defect, determine the extent of the work needed and determine the course of action. The lead time is usually only a fraction of the time it took to build and install the replacement windows. And like the installation process, our warranty claims process is hassle-free.
