A Typical Window Replacement Timeline

Replacing your windows may seem like a small project, but it takes significant time and funding to be properly completed. It is impossible to rush something as crucial as window installation, so you need to carefully plan how your time frame will be executed. You should also be able to maximize and even save your time and energy for such a project. So, to help you get an idea of how you should plan your window replacement project, Renewal by Andersen® of San Francisco shows you what a typical window replacement timeline looks like.

A Few Days Before Installation Day

Just a few days before installation, the field supervisor in charge of your window replacement project will pay a visit to your home to take measurements of the window openings before producing a list of the items that will be required to complete the task. Following that, the procurement team will buy the necessary supplies before transferring the order to the window manufacturer for completion and delivery.

A pre-construction letter may be delivered to your home a few days later, in which you will learn about the window installation procedure, what you can expect to happen on the day of the installation and what you can do to ensure that the project runs smoothly and successfully. Once your window has been received in the warehouse, you will be contacted to arrange an installation date that works for you and your contractor.

Installation Day

On the day of installation, your window installation experts will arrive promptly and carefully install your windows. Following the installation, they will clean up and remove all trash from the job site.  This is where you may review your window and decide if it meets your expectations. Once you’re satisfied, sign the completion certificate. If you have any concerns, immediately inform your window installer.

A Few Days After Installation Day

Finally, a few days following your installation day, you’ll get a Customer Satisfaction Survey in the mail to complete and return. You can use this survey to provide feedback on your contractor as well as your interactions with their sales team and installation personnel.
